BTCCSquare news:

The Bank of England has selected Quant Network to test atomic multibank settlement using blockchain technology in its sandbox environment. This trial supports the planned upgrade of the UK's Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system, aiming to eliminate partial settlement risks across multiple financial institutions.

Quant CEO Gilbert Verdian confirmed the collaboration via Twitter, emphasizing the use of Quant Flow and PayScript® for synchronized treasury operations. The simulation involves no real money or live systems, focusing purely on technical validation.

This initiative marks a strategic shift toward programmable blockchain infrastructure in Core payment systems. The Synchronisation Lab serves as a controlled environment for testing innovations before potential implementation in the UK's financial infrastructure.
